One-of-a-kind mixed-media sugar skull wreath!

Dia De Los Muertos Sugar Skull Wreath

This is a mixed-media piece and is made up of several components that include:  a handpainted skull, yellow and orange  satin marigolds, heavy card stock and tiny, polymer clay flowers. The skull has been painted with acrylic paint, varnished with a gloss finish and topped with small purple, yellow and orange satin marigolds. Black, heavy card stock has been cut into lacey pieces and added to the skull to act as a collar. The skull is nestled in the center between two layers of heavy card stock petals. The black petals have the addition of cut, lacey pieces to give the edge of the black petals an airy, light feel. Inside of each petal is yellow and orange satin marigolds (the flower of the dead). On the very edge of each purple petal, a tiny, black and white daisy has been added. All of the elements have been securely mounted to the backing board (it has a hanger) and the wreath is ready to display!  This wreath is recommended to be used indoors (the outdoor elements may cause sun damage, etc).  The wreath measures 18" round x 6" (at highest and widest points). The wreath is lightweight, should be handled with care and is a nice addition to any Dia de los Muertos collection! The colors are clear and vivid and accent each other nicely!  The wreath is initialed and dated on the back.

This piece is colorful, lively and looks great in person!
