One-of-a-kind mixed-media Dia de los Muertos/Frida art!
Dia De Los Muertos Arch of Calaveras With Frida
ABOUT THIS PIECE:
This is a mixed-media piece and is made up of several components that include: an oval wood plaque, a wood peg (Frida), a wood arch, a terracotta pot and a tiny chiminea. The entire piece has been painted with acrylic paint and varnished with a gloss finish. Frida has been embellished with black pom pom hair, polymer clay/satin flowers, glass/resin leaves, tiny polymer clay hearts/flowers and a skull charm. The terracotta vase is full of polymer clay flowers and satin leaves. The arch has a total of 22 skull charms (front and back) and each one embellished with a polymer clay flower. The tiny chiminea actually works! There's a little switch on the bottom and the flames light up! Frida, the vase and chiminea are removable from the oval plaque (which measures 7" x 5" x 6" at the widest, highest and deepest points) and can be arranged any way you like.
The colors are clear and vivid and accent each other nicely! I've initialed and dated the oval round and Frida on the bottom.
This little gem is colorful, lively and looks even better in person!
