One-of-a-kind mixed-media Dia de los Muertos/Frida art!
Dia De Los Muertos Wood Arch With Blue Frida
ABOUT THIS PIECE:
This is a mixed-media piece and is made up of several components that include: a wood plaque, a wood peg (Frida), a wood arch, two laser cut wood Frida ornaments, two wood pots and a three skull figurine. The wood plaque, arch and laser cut wood Frida pieces have been stained in a warm, rich brown color. All of the other pieces have been painted with acrylic paint and varnished with a gloss finish. Frida has been embellished with black pom pom hair, polymer clay/aluminum flowers, glass leaves, two tiny green tassles, a skull charm and tiny polymer clay flowers for her earrings and necklace. The yellow wood vases are full of satin marigolds and a single, polymer clay flower with satin leaves. The three skull charm figurine has been painted and embellished with polymer clay roses. The arch has been embellished with a single skull charm, polymer clay flowers/butterflies, wood flowers and satin leaf branches. Frida, the vases and three skull figurine are removable from the square plaque (which measures 7 1/2" x 4" x 7 1/2" at the widest, highest and deepest points) and can be arranged any way you like. Included is set of mini fairy lights (with batteries) that can be draped over the arch or in any way you like (see the last photo).
The colors are clear and vivid and accent each other nicely! I've initialed and dated the oval round and Frida on the bottom.
This little gem is colorful, lively and looks even better in person!
